i was going to go satin orange, the truck was put together with leftover parts from my 69,i bought all new parts for that one.i love collecting parts. my friend had the truck in high school back in 86, i tried getting it in 2000 for the next 10 years and he let it go. the truck had 10 inch rims all around with
33s on the back and low prof. on the front it looked like hell,i took them off right away, replaced the 390 with the 466 and a c6 and added disc brakes. these short box trucks are so hard to find here in alberta, canada. i like the looks and styling of these years and hope my boy wants it when hes old enough.

It sounds good but you are probably giving up 25-35 HP by running a single pattern cam (depending on heads). What are you running for exhaust?

flowtech headers ,3inch tube and magnaflow race magnum mufflers, in the vid its open headers im also putting on the bypass y with the electic valve so i dont have to undo the exhaust when im at the track just hit a button.

I was going to go with the painted ones in this link.69 ford shorty wrote:flowtech headers ,3inch tube and magnaflow race magnum mufflers, in the vid its open headers im also putting on the bypass y with the electic valve so i dont have to undo the exhaust when im at the track just hit a button.

Did you have to modify anything to get them in there or were they pretty good? Please let me know so I can figure out which brand to get.
