topic uncertain
A subject I should discuss with a professional perhaps, but I have noted a comraderie here... I want to be a part of it, and frankly I am hurting... I admit hiding under this truck I have come to love as a result because at least the troubles are definable as so often are the solutions with a machine.... my girl is out as we speak blowing her not-enough-to-pay-the-rent money on a gambling machine after telling me she cannot pay the rent. To be forward, I am living in this truck I am working on and I am amazed she has not dumped me. It all is bewildering. I got a job but with the catch-up game and our economical s.n.a.f.u... I can barely keep up with the repairs the old beast needs and her insurance. I loaned the g.f. what I could, and as it was not enough, she chooses to blow it on the lotto. I guess she hopes to win her troubles away. I dunno. I need a shoulder to cry on. Berate me for inappropriateness if need be as I have it coming perhaps. I feel very lost lately and I admit I coulda spent more time talking with her, but as far as financial help I did what I could. It ain't like I have been buying performance parts and so forth. The cops here are aggressive about "derelict" vehicles. I feel angry I admit. I know that will not help but beyond that I am lost. I have no idea where to post such a thing but this seemed the best choice so I am doing it.

I imagine it is. You should be dumping HER. She is doing you no favors and she is not helping you out one bit, gambling YOUR money away.cozadlance wrote:I am amazed she has not dumped me. It all is bewildering.
Run.
Run fast.

I hate to talk bad about anyones other half but it sounds like you will go further under if you don't go your own way. I've had two bad marriages that money was major issues in. I did bankruptcy in 2001 and am still paying for it creditwise. Unless she is the one you plan on spending the rest of your life with, I would do some deep thinking about what is best for you in the longrun. Just my opinion.

Show her the door, she is dragging you down. You need to start looking out for yourself There will be others,in six months you probably won't remember what she looked like.
