MAN, what a first day!!!

A lot of the time was spent with getting all of the usual HR paperwork done, but I did get to at least do a walk-around inspection of the facility, and to look at the regulatory reporting.
From what I was told, the last two guys who had this job did JUST ENOUGH to get by. NOT GOOD!! Remember, we're dealing with the EPA and OSHA compliance here.
Just a one-hour tour of the facility showed me more than 50 violations!!!
It's going to be an uphill battle, guys, but by the end of the week, they're going to know that "Ol' Dick" (as my son and his friends like to call me

) has been there. Management has already been told that there's at least a 200K capital investment that's going to be necessary to get things back up to par, and I've been told that I have their full support.
It looks like I've found a chance to make some MAJOR improvements and save the company a ton of money, and I'm looking forward to the challenge!!
Thanks again, everyone, for your words of encouragement!! Just knowing that I have somewhere like this forum to share my excitement means more to me than any of you can ever imagine!!
