He trashed my boat

Post by Mancar1 »

The pics show what can happen when you leave your 14" boat with someone for them to use. I had put all new plywood in it with new green carpet. Had nice Pro Bass padded seats with arm rests. I always kept it covered when not in use. Was told my nice seats didn't hold up so he put the plastic ones in. Told me, lost the anchor, no battery cause it went bad. Had to put another axle on the trailer. :x At least the motor still runs, and doesn't look to bad. Have dings and scrapes now. My wife warned me, she was right. I knew better, so I can't complain to much. Heck yes I can. The guy can't see where he did anything wrong. :? What a Jack---. I USED to think better of him. This boat was dad's pride and joy on the fishing front.
Ok, rants over, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Good Thing is, it can be fixed. That little honda is an expensive little motor, it is a good thing it wasn't ruined. Looks like one good afternoon with some new carpet and plywood, you could have it looking good again! Sorry to hear someone treated it bad though. It is hard to find someone these days that will treat your stuff with any respect for sure.

Visit http://www.tinboats.net and visit awhile, you might see a familiar face or two.

My dad told me long ago to never lend out what I expect back in good shape and to alway return something in better shape than you got it... Has worked out pretty good so far.

Ya the Honda is locked up in my shop. It is worth way more than the boat. I have a 6' fence, but that doesn't always stop a thief. 11 years back, before the 6' fence), we had a 25HP Ever. with a jet unit on it stole off the back of a boat. :x I hate a thief, you work hard for what ya got and some to lazy to work @&%$#** steals from ya. :x
