In snow country I would be careful. Although if the roof failed, I suppose would not be a problem. Looked on eBay a while back, some are selling kits. You supply the pipe. They provide connections and fabric.

I've got a less expensive one I bought at Costco. Seems like it was only a hundred bucks or so. It's light steel tubing comvered with some kind of plastic canvass stuff. Anyhow, it's just right for my truck. The cover lasted a couple of years but is now starting to fray and rip. The Arizona sun is tough on this fabric. Good luck.

re: Instant Garage Opinions
I bought one similar to what you've described.
I believe it was about $180-$200 at Lowes.
The dimensions are: 10' x 20' x 8'. (Check out my attachment!)
I've had it for almost a year and the material has become very brittle and must be replaced, the summers hear are brutal to any material man made or synthetic.
All in all I think I got a good deal for $200 for a years worth of shelter. I've already purchased another tarp for $30 to replace the original.
If the new one lasts as long I'll be content.
Good luck!

re: Instant Garage Opinions
Mine is like the one Lawrence showed but I'm pretty sure it was only about a $100 at Costco. Anhow, Here's a photo of it behind the truck. One caveat: If you're in the southwest, the sun will take its toll on the fabric cover. After a couple of years mine is starting to rip. By next summer it will probably have to be replaced. Also, you have to figure a way to mount the unit to the ground. I drove some rebar through the pole pads but if you are in a very windy area, I'm thinking that thing may move over to someone else's driveway.

re: Instant Garage Opinions
Oh Yeah Thats right !
I just bolted mine to some 2"x 12"x 2' pieces that I had laying around.
One day before a big rain storm it got real windy. Several strong gusts of wind lifted the whole canopy at least 2 to 3 feet into the air!
