1969 Color Code

Post by N7RIS »

I have a 1969 F250 Camper Special with a "D" color code. From info I have found, Ford did not use "D" color code in 1969. Can anyone help with this matter? I know from comparing this truck with a 1969 sales manual it was a very special ordered truck. Some of the things I have found out about it are: 1- 8'6" bed, 2- factory AC/Heat, 3- Trim from the F350, 4- Paint. It took 2 years to find the bed trim since Ford decided to take the trim all the down the bed and wrap it around to the tail light trim.

My 68 doesn't have a exterior color code, but it has a M for interior code. The exterior color was a ordered color not offered as standard so it doesn't show on the door plate. Your D is most likely your interior code, and the exterior color was most likely ordered. Just my :2cents:
