food favorites
lately we have been eating lots of italian foods. some pizza but alot of spaghetti and other such pasta and sauce based stuff. a few months ago we had cravings to eat different stuff all the time. earlier in the summer i wanted lots and lots of green vegetables. years ago i could live off of nothing but hamburgers. i know it may be related to what my body is wanting or needing out of these foods. but it can get boring too. i almost hate homemade hamburgers now. but i could eat McDonald's all day long at the right time. does anyone else do this? do you get bored with the same old stuff too.

Re: food favorites
We are always looking at recipies and trying something new. But there are a few foods that we just can't seem to eat often enough. As in shrimp, chicken for me and steak and baked tater for Vicki. (I love to BBQ)

Re: food favorites
I never eat fast food. I am overweight though. Hmm, ice cream.
Italian (you mentioned).
I love Mexican food and there is a lot of it where I live.
Americana cooking. (you know, hamburgers, BBQ's, roasted corn, corn bread, beans, steak & potatoes) We usually grill our own. Have you ever grilled corn on the cob? Leave the husk on and cook over coals it till it's just starting to get black. Ooo I'm salivating.
Brazilian cooking.
Never cared for Chinese much. Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork is alright though.
Cuban cooking can be great.
Ate a lot of German foods when I was living in Germany (U.S. Army). I've never been to a German restaurant in America though.
Greek foods are terrific.
Indian foods (India, not American Indian) can be tasty.
I never tried American Indian foods that I know of, so I don't have an opinion there. (had to be politically correct you know)

Re: food favorites
My food tastes go all over the map. I spent enough time in the army that I appreciate diffent cultural cooking. Fortunately I am blessed to have a wife that can cook darn near anything I ask for and we do a lot of home canning including meats to make sure we can have a varied diet.I am one spoiled old wolf that way.
