Tailgate size

In looking at my tailgate, I want to put on the slip on smooth cover that is sold for the stepside. Since I do not have a step side to measure, I am going to ask you folks it they are the same size. I am sure they are but wanted to run it by you all.

Not sure what you are asking. Are you talking about the outer skin, or protective cap for the top of tailgate?

I am going to buy a smooth cover for it the LMC truck sells, but they only have it listed as stepside tailgate. It covers your org one to make is all smooth like a box, that is what I want to do to mine.

If you are asking if the fleetside and stepside have the same size tailgate. I would say no. I do not believe your plan will work.

The styleside gate is 65" wide and the 6' flareside gate is 49' wide; the 8 or 9' flareside box gate is 54' wide.
