X2 on this. Tell her you will rent your truck to her plus driver fees next time.Racer Z wrote:OMG! I have more than one opinion on this subject. But their all pointed in the same direction.
"That's not what you said when you asked me to help you move cause I have a truck."
If trucks are not mass-produced they would be hand made. Most can't afford a hand-made truck. Trucks would be in the price range of Ferrari's and Rolls Royce's. As much as I would like a truck made by Ferrari, I can't afford it even if it was given to me for free.
To late. She tricked me with her Wood Nymph charm.cozadlance2 wrote:X2 on this. Tell her you will rent your truck to her plus driver fees next time.Racer Z wrote:OMG! I have more than one opinion on this subject. But their all pointed in the same direction.

Not true. I don''t want to tell others what to drive either. I myself would like to own a prius........with a fully blown 460 under the hood. Talk about bastardizing a vehicle with a cross breed motor.67camper wrote:Prius'is should should stop being mass produced. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOvp69lnZbA
Bumpside FTW!
What, no bump?fordman wrote:geez ford keeps making them uglier by the minute. clean up the roof. make it smooth. and get rid of that ugly hug chrome grill. tone it down. this isnt the 70's.
While "that" specific truck most likely wont become reality (it was a tip of the hat to much finer days, when travel by rail was in vogue), it does speak to her point. She should sell her car, and buy tickets on Amtrack...FormerMarine1981 wrote:The conversation didn't go far. We were at work and I didn't want to get into it. It was a slow day at work and for fun I was looking up pictures of trucks and saw a picture for Ford's concept truck the Super Chief. http://trucks.about.com/od/fordconceptv ... ept-Truck/ Yes it is over the top and I would never own it myself even if I Could afford it. But I was showing her the wood floor interior with bushed aluminum and foot rest for the rear passengers because I thought it was funny. That's when she said that "Trucks should not be made anymore except for companies or businesses. If the general public needs one they should go rent one." I for one am glad the rest of the country doesn't think this way.
Racer Z wrote:The most unfortunate thing here is that people with her mentality will never understand what you're saying. She will look at you and think, "What is this guy's problem?" And then when she realizes you're talking about her choices and freedoms, she will get angry at you. She has skipped right over the "two-way-street" part and into self. It's OK to take away your freedom of choice, but it's not OK to compromise her freedom of choice. She will never make the connection. Words wasted, blah blah blah. But we know what you mean.
