Body mounts spacing.

Post by Truck Power »

This is the project that I've been working on for the last few years. I've had the 1967 f250 4X4 since 1970. I bought the running gear from a 2001 f350 4X4 and have installed the V10 engine , transmission, and running gear onto a 1989 f250 4X4 frame. Now I need body mount spacing measurements for installing the1967 body onto the 1989 frame. I would appreciate your input or maybe you can tell me where I can get this info. Thanks. :fr:

spacing? you mean where to get the rubber mounts? or? you can probably buy the rubber mounts from the parts store. or are you wanting to know so you can do a body swap? if so i know the frotn 1980's 2wd cab mounts are in the wrogn place. and will have to be either moved or a mounting bracket extension made to mount one of our cab on the 80's 2wd frame.

Yep, body swap is what he is doing. And he's putting a V10 in it, too. I told him pics and a bit of a write up are necessary to give everyone here something to drool over.

Hiya Jim! :wel: Glad to see you made it here.
