After being snowed in for 2 days this week and 2 days a couple of weeks ago, I've about had enough. I'm going to get a 4wd that can get me out of this subdivision. So I started searching craigslist for a 4x4 for $1500 or less and, lo and behold...........
I know my wife was thinking more along the lines of a Jeep Cherokee but this sure is tempting. I don't really need the flatbed but, since I'm going to rebuild my truck this spring, it's sure tempting to take the two and make one. What do you guys think?

Same here, and looking like it will all be ice tomorrow morning as some of it melted today with a predicted low of 17 degrees.

I've been snowed-in here in Athens, Georgia for 2 days. Really missing being able to drive my bumpside.
Took some extra care and wrapped in with tarps to keep the snow, ice, and water from getting through into the cab and under the hood, etc.
These pictures were made yesterday morning. We got a total of 6.5" of snow. It has gotten really icy today. Its going to be below freezing through Friday.

Was able to get the car in and back off of the mountain last night and this morning. Few hairy moments on the trip to work. Looks like Alpharetta got hit worse than we did in Jasper. Got a couple of tight spots getting home this afternoon. Wasn't bad coming to work because I was going downhill but the uphill trek.......? That 4x4 granny flatbed is looking better and better Throw about 1000# on the back and crawl on home on the shoulder if necessary.

Got about 7-8 inches here in Chattanooga Sunday night/Monday. Another inch on Tuesday, another 1/2 to 1 inch today (mostly ice today after some of it melted yesterday). And a lot more ice tomorrow after some of it melted again today! I now know what cabin fever is all about...
Try moving enough snow to move a few vehicles with just a florida flat shovel and a leaf rake!
