What a prize photo that is. Was it computer-enhanced?
It's something about the way the gray hood paint, sprinkled with rust, combines with the similar colors and texture of the sky and clouds--I could look at a whole book full of photos like that!
It's a process of combining photos with different exposures called High Dynamic Range (HDR). This particular photo is actually 3 photos combined. I took a normal exposure and one stop darker and one stop lighter photo. The software has lots of settings you can change to "tweak" the image. I used Photomatix to make this image.
Man nice job on that photo! If I was to buy that truck I think I'd drive it just like it is. No new paint, just good mechanical stuff.

They are virtually the same in appearance other than the hood trim and emblems. Just an FYI...the '48-'52 Fords are F1's. The F100 debuted in '53.
