60-66 Drag truck?

Post by OldBlue67 »

Ok I know this thing exists. It was a racing truck that came from Ford with its mods and went around smoking competition ;). Not too long ago they found it in some guys garage covered in christmas ornaments. I've looked all over Slick 60s and I cant find the page (but I could have sworn thats where I saw it). Help me out?

I'm in love with it BTW  If my old 390 does ever get rebuilt I want to put it in a 60s F100 like that, somethin speedy ;)

Ahh! thank you! Its been driving me nuts! :P I couldnt remember what year it was or what its "name" was (I call it "The XL" when I can remember...I dont know if I'm the only one though lol) so I wasnt having any luck finding it. They've cleaned it up since I last saw it!!  THat thing would be so hot to have back on the road....racing?? *passes out* probaly not, but a girl can dream lol

THey said a mag is doing an article on it, I wonder which one! I so have to get that when it comes out (hope I havent missed it already!!)

I actually used a pic of it for a project I did in design a couple quarters ago, so it was really driving me crazy I couldnt remember what it was called/ where the site was. I searched this forum and over at slick 60s and didnt come up with anything. I feel much better now lol lol

 I know! Which is partially why it was driving me so crazy  I knew that there was at least one post on it on this forum about it, but for the life of me I couldnt get the search to bring it up. Couldnt remember when it was posted, or what the year of the truck was etc to get a good search :P Finally I just said aw heck with it, I'm sure there are people who havent seen it ;) :P

edit: woot! that was my 427th post, how fitting  I always park in spot 427 at the ferries, makes it easy to remember  I'd park in 390, but its too far a way  Yah I'm a dweeb :P

Thanks Barry for the link. I knew you had it in your file somewhere :) A few months ago there was another drag truck here on the forum. It's a sweet 66 short stepside with slicks; had 'Mayhem' painted on the door. I guess the owner had recently passed away.
