i see the stang with that engine gets the torque/brace bar across the engine bay. don't think i have seen that since the older 390/429 equiped stangs of the 60's and 70's.

So as long as ford calls it 302 it is 302, just nothing similair at all to 302's of old.

Yeah my current truck was a tire burning turd with its 302, i'm glad it blew up. It would bust the tires no matter how slow it started from a stop. Thats all the 302 was worth in my 72.
Now the 390 can burn them when i try, but gets of the line with minimal tire burn, and can actualy hual it's own azz.

The brutal torture, especially the thermal cycle testing, that the Ford engineers are putting their new engines through during development is very, very impressive. They are still buildin'em " Ford Tough"
(IMO tougher than ever actually)
