What do you keep in your glove box?

Post by hdpusher »

My buddy and I were moving some junk in my truck the other day and I asked him to grab my gloves. He asked me were they were at and I said "The glove Box" and he said "Why do you keep them in there?" :? I said its called a glove box for a reason. Then he replied "Oh I never thought of that." :hmm:

So I guess my question is what do you keep in your glove box?

Me I carry gloves, registration, insurance, ammunition and a flashlight.

Well, my first answer was, "Gloves." Then I remembered I don't have a glove box in my Bump. I took out what was left of the crumbling cardboard to work on the under-dash. Normally I keep things like: gloves; maps; registration; insurance; loose change for parking meters; pen; pencil; notepad; flashlight; ... For now all of that is in a box in my cross-box.

All of that and since I am a smoker I also keep a small package of Bugler tobacco and rolling papers in there as well as a zip lock sandwich bag that has a few books of matches in it. I also keep a small tin box in there with some emergency breakdown or need gas bad cash and a small flashlight. The way I look at it......if I break down on some back country road late at night and the parts and tools wont get me home I always have the option of grabbing the rest of the items up........stuffing the paperwork and napkins in the fuel filler.......lighting it with a match and then Hauling A** to a somewhat nearby location where I can enjoy a smoke........and the satisfaction of watching it burn. Then grab the cell phone off my belt and call a buddy and use the cash for gas/beer money to get me home.

Looks like we all carry a lot of the same things and I'm glad to see other people carry gloves in glove boxes.

Am i the only one that prefers no glovebox behind the door? I prefer the behind dash access much more than i would use the glovebox there. I keep all paperwork in the ash tray, and flashlight and stuff in my split bench storage compartment. big stuff goes in the bedside toolbox.

It's funny when everyone opens the glovebox for whatever reason and are like what the heck is this door to nothing for! "Access panel" :D
