Been gone too long...

Hey gang - figured it was time to check in...

Life's full of surprises, so I haven't been on much in the last year or so, but I'm still here. I have another project that's been garnishing most of my attention (a '58 Porsche 356a Cabriolet barn find). In the meantime, I've been working on the truck fairly diligently tho - and I finally got her back to streetworthy shape this past week. Overall, lots of good mods/updates since i tore it apart last year:

Engine:
- Repaired rear main oil seal
- All new gaskets
- Installed new Pertronix Ignitor II system and Flamethrower II coil
- new alternator, battery cables
- new plugs, wires, air cleaner, all new fluids etc
- Installed headers, new dual exhaust out the back with Magnaflows

Transmission:
- Replaced old trans with rebuilt C6
- Installed Lokar shift indicator/linkage

Rear axle:
- Replaced old D60 with a rebuilt '72 limited slip unit with 3.73's

Steering/Suspension/Brakes:
- New chrome tilt column with chrome/leather steering wheel
- Replaced Bendix steering gear with Saginaw unit (with new driver side motor mount)
- New rag joint
- New shocks
- Formed all new brake lines
- New vacuum booster and master cylinder
- New adjustable proportioning valve
- Swapped front end to a rebuilt '72 disc brake setup
- All new wheel cylinders, pads, shoes

Sooo, yeah... it's been an eventful year for ol' Tug, as well as for me.

Back Often wondered what happened to ya. Even though my trucks no closer to looking like your art work( ) The mug with the picture sit's on my computer desk to keep me motivated

Hey! My mug sits on my desk as well... Although it still looks like my truck! I want a before and after mug you know! Anyhow glad to hear things are going good! I would like to see some photos of that project of yours, sounds kewl!

Nice! Just looked at every picture. Took a while but that thing is COOL!!!
Oh and i spotted a rust hole in the floorpan, dont know if you are aware or not.

Is there a project thread i can watch on another forum?
