Those are good cars. I have seen issues with the throttle bodies and mentioned above. I have also had quite a few of those CVT's apart to replace the input shaft and bearing. They make an awfull noise when those go, seems to be fairly common. Just another thing to watch out for, but all in all a great rig for the money.
Honestly, I really would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy.

My folks and 4 sibs are all bowtie freaks. My inlaws hate blue ovals. Oh well, it's nice not having to keep up with who's got the newest vehicle. I always did kinda like being the odd duck. Good to see you've converted your significant other.
