Here are a few shots of our snow. We got 4" yesterday and got more comming in 2 days. The snow on the red barrel in front of my shop is how deep our snow got the first time around.

Yeah i think our accumalation was between 6-10" with 1-1 1/2 maybe 2' drifts, then when the city plowed a path for Emergency vehicles Everyone had a 3 foot ridge of snow and ice blocking them in. I had just cleared my Drive enough to get out to go the the store.

Hey Mike, Don't leave us folks here in Tennessee out!
I pulled out of the driveway in my bump a few weeks ago / stopped then started to go again / started spinning (would not move without going backward and forward a couple of times) right in front of the house.
I gotta' look into getting a locker or traction lock...

I know how you feel. Last night I was going to pick up some furniture and I couldn't even pull away from my house without putting the truck in four wheel drive! The street is pretty clear, but some ice build up on the ground kept me from backing up so I wouldn't hit one of our other cars.

We haven't had much snow. 4" around New Years and another 4" or so last week, but it's been bitter cold. We had two mornings last week that were -20 or lower. The natural gas pumping stations in Tx tripped and about 35,000 ppl in the state lost natural gas on the coldest night in over 20 yrs. Most of the state has natural gas restored, but almost a week later there are still ppl without gas to heat their homes. Luckily for me I'm on propane and didn't have to worry about it.

see that is why you cant reply on anyone else to provide heat for you. you have to have a back up plan.

We're forecast to get a little more down here tonight and tomorrow. 2 years ago we had a nasty ice storm...luckily we had a generator that allowed us to still keep some lights on and the heater going. We have propane too, with electric backup space heaters. It was an expensive week feeding the generator 12 gal of gas each day!
