kid at the junkyard
when i was at the junkyard today. there was a kid who took off a power steering box that i almost had off a 68. it kind of made me mad. but i couldnt get the pitman arm off of the drag link. so i figured the box and arm was safe from anyone else taking it. well he got it some how. so when i seen him he was trying to get those messed up botls out of those bumper guards ha ha. anyway so i offered to help him if i could. so maybe i could get him to help me pull other parts. i think he thought i was up to no good but i wasnt. i was only trying to help him so maybe he would help me back up a few nuts and bolts. i asked him if he had came to the site. he had but hadnt signed up yet. i told him who i was on here. and offered any help i could. well maybe he didnt want my help i dont know. he has my phone number now hough. so maybe he will call me sometime and we can go parts removing some time. i am guessing he was 16 or 17 years old. and me i'm 47 i think.

The kid next door, well now he is 22, but to me still a young kid.
He was like that when he was a teen. Wanted to do it himself and didn't want help. So I only helped him out when he would ask. It was more often than not when he wanted to learn how to do something. Or borrow a tool. I only loaned him my backup tools. (I call them that cause they are my loaner tools)

Yeah i think iwas an exception to the rule that proves it, when i was 19 i got my first car, a 77 nova( i had a Merc Topaz '84 before it but it was Mom's Realy) and i asked everyone i thought was an old wrencher, got a little bit of help.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
