so i dropped the block off at the machine shop last week. they called me today and said im sorry i have some bad new for you. 3 of your cylinder walls are extremely bad so we have to bore out the walls to 30 over. so my budget at the machine shop when from $280 for having the block clean, walls deglazed and new cam bearing installed to $465 to have the engine bored out to 30 over. not to mention the fact that i go t ahead of my self and bought piston and rings for a standard bore 390. so now i have to buy new pistons and rings that are 30 over

yeah i had 500 set aside for the machine work just hoping it wasnt gonna take all of it. as for the piston and rings i bought them over a year ago so they are out side of the exchange window
