machine shop woo's

Post by 69rangerf100 »

so i dropped the block off at the machine shop last week. they called me today and said im sorry i have some bad new for you. 3 of your cylinder walls are extremely bad so we have to bore out the walls to 30 over. so my budget at the machine shop when from $280 for having the block clean, walls deglazed and new cam bearing installed to $465 to have the engine bored out to 30 over. not to mention the fact that i go t ahead of my self and bought piston and rings for a standard bore 390. so now i have to buy new pistons and rings that are 30 over :hw: :hw: :hw:

well it is best to have the clyinders checked before you buy pistons. maybe someone on the board can use them.
