if you dont mind the filler neck being in the bed you can use a mustang gas tank. however soemone said they found a dodge truck or ram charger gastank that would let you exit out the side of the bed.

Boozer,

As fordman said you can use a Mustang tank. See this for explanation http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... c&start=75

And here is one I have been watching on ebay.

I am installing a 19 gallon fuel tank out of a 78 Scout II in my 71 F250 4X4. The sending unit is compatible with our fuel gauges. It fits between the frame rails and will exit out of the side of the bed. I am waiting on the weather to warm some before I install it. You can get this tank new in a poly version in both 19 and 30 gallons. Here is the best price I've found on the poly tank.

Not yet. right now all I have done is bought the tank. I don't have a shop or garage, so I'm waiting for winter to quit sinking it's teeth into my butt. As soon as it warms up I'll be posting some picks of the work.

I haven't gotten that far yet as it's been too cold outside to work on it. I will be making my own mounting system. It will most likely be kind of like the one Bobbyford made for his mustang tank. Do a search on mustang tank and you'll find his thread on his tank install.
