Re: oxidized chrome?
I would try the wd40/steel wool first - will look like new. If using any kind of polish I would use that with a soft rag since the polish has some abrasive properties. The WD40 method is more like "wet sanding" versus "dry sanding"

Re: oxidized chrome?
The blue magic is a soft cream and you can buy it at most auto part stores. I know that the Checkers/O'Reilly's in Colorado carries it. I wouldn't use the SOS pad, too abrasive. I use a pretty fine grade of steel wool if there is a lot of "stuff" to remove and then use an even finer grade of steel wool to finish and then use a soft cloth for the final polish.synyster159 wrote:Can u get the blue magic at a store or online? Anyone know if u can use SOS pads like from a grocery store if not where do u buy 0000 steel wool?
Here are a couple of pics of the headliner trim that I worked on last weekend. You can see the polished part and the rusted/pitted part.

You should be able to pick up 0000 steel wool at just about any hardware store. It should be somewhere around the painting section near the sandpaper.synyster159 wrote:Can u get the blue magic at a store or online? Ty Terry

Re: oxidized chrome?
Headliner trim looks great!...Remember, though, the headliner is chromed steel, that's why it rusts...The wheel well trim is aluminum, it will not rust but will turn milky...Trouble is, I think the "milky-ness" is in the anodizing, not in the aluminum itself....Seems like it would be like trying to polish out old clearcoat...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!
