Correct hub cap for 67 F250?
What is the correct hubcap for a 67 F250 Camper Special or 4x4? Was 66 or 67 the breaking point for the hub cap style? Not sure if I need the innies or outies. Thanks

bronco and 4wd front wheel cover. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-77-Fo ... ccessories
there is a full set on ebay but i coldnt find them. the rears have the centers in them. these were used up to 1968 on our trucks. i am unsure what years they were used on the other older slicks. maybe 65 and 66 only. these were also on broncos but i have no idea what years of broncos they were on atleast 66 and maybe 67.
for more information on wheel covers and hub caps you can see this page. http://www.fordification.com/tech/hubcapID.htm

Re: Correct hub cap for 67 F250?
A friend of mine's grandfather bought a '67 F250 new and it came with figure 3 in the link.
BUT there are two different depths .
My friends are at least an inch deeper than my set of '71s , he was told they were for an F350 and would clear the floating rear hubs.
I tried putting my '71s on a '90 F250 and were too short for the Sterling rear, his '67s would fit.

67 f250 should be split rims with "innies". i can get ahold of two of them.

The ones they show in the 67 brochure look identical to these in the 69 brochure

Re: Correct hub cap for 67 F250?
OK, I found a 67 F250 CS. It has the 16.5x9.75 rear wheels and the hub caps that were on it are the "innies". So obviously it has the early style wheels that accept the innie caps. Im thinking 67 may have been a split year. I am wanting to put the wide stock wheels on my 67 F250 4x4 but I would like to use the style that came on the 67's and am trying to figur out what style I need.

Yeh, that is the cap I was thinking of. But, the ones on the 67 CS I found are like the ones all the way at the bottom of the link and to the right. I actually kinda like em. The link I found over FTE says it could be the ones in Fig. 3 or the ones at the bottom of the link you provided. Just the small ones that cover the hub.Ks Highboy wrote:What link?cep62 wrote:A friend of mine's grandfather bought a '67 F250 new and it came with figure 3 in the link.

they look the same, but mount inside the wheel instead of over the outside of the wheel.

Re: Correct hub cap for 67 F250?
I have a 1970 F250 Camper Special that I just picked up from the original owner. It is bone stock with the original wheels and hub caps. It has the caps shown below and in figure 3 on this page: http://www.fordification.com/tech/hubcapID.htm

The 4 on my truck are a dull gray and have some slight surface rust in spots, and all the black paint is gone. My question is, were these all stainless or did they paint them on some years. Mine look like they were possibly painted argent silver and have faded, however it is completely possible they are just very dirty and corroded stainless. I would love to know before I start trying to restore them.
Here they are on the truck the day I brought it home.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Matt

some were painted and some were polished. it depended on the trim package the truck came with.
