finally

Post by 70sc »

Well, my f-100 lovers its been 3 yrs since I posted on here. A bad mariage and a fall off a 30 ft cliff kinda slowed me down a bit. I started building a 1970 sport custom that my grandfather bought new around 7 years ago. It was a long bed 302 automatic truck. I finally got back to the build again. Since the last time i posted I shorten the frame to fit the short bed, wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.Built a fuel injected 393 stroker twin turbo, backed by a c-6 and 2800 stall, and the stock 3.50 gears. I need a good tune on the truck, running low boost right now, around 10 lbs. I will post pics in a few days when it warms up a bit. I am not even close to being done, but i want to thank all of you that have had input on this build, all of your help has been appreciated.

Way...too many of us here have gone through the marriage thing. Stay strong man!

Good to see another "little 302" guy (what most here call our SBF's) on the forum!

Somewhere during my divorce, I began to realize that I would rather go to a dentist and have my teeth pulled. Less pain, less money and it will heal quicker.

Good luck on your truck build.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you and your Bump are happier together without the Ex in your lives because you've been able to make so many improvements to your Truck.

This is coming from a TWICE DIVORCED GUY!!! Maybe it's my fault?? Naw... NOT possible!

I've been married twice.

The first one was 3 years from first dating to divorce.

The second one has lasted 34 years from dating to still having the bestest friend in my life.

From what I hear, the first one has been married 4 times, and the newest one is about 10 years younger than she is.

From the 70's, dude, KEEP ON TRUCKIN'!!!!!
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.--Plato
Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Been there and done that two times too! I make poor choices I think... Anyway, glad you're back in it. It sounds like your project is coming along and sounds totally SICK too! I've recently returned to the forum after a long hiatus (bad marriage and divorce #2) and I haven't seen any pictures if you have posted them...have any???

I did the 393 stroker thing for my '56. It's actually a 395 as it had already been bored 0.030" by a previous owner. So, I took it to 0.040" for my rebuild. I don't have the turbos though! Yours will be quite the runner!

Good luck with your project and steer clear of the cliffs and terrible women! Take care!
