Sorry, no pictures

Post by wildcard »

I went looking in some local salvage yards yesterday. Didn't get anything I was looking for but I found a 67 lwb with Ranger badges on it in pretty good shape. No engine. Not sure about the trans. But the body panels were all pretty straight. Still has the rearview mirror also. I may go back and get the tailgate since it is better shape than mine. Though it has the chrome trim on it.
The bed looked good. No rust inside visible. And the grill was in pretty dang good shape also. I seem to recall a small ding or two but nothing major.
If anyone needs me to look at something I'll be glad to when I go back. And look a little closer next time. I'll try to get pictures next time. I still use the old school phone that only makes phone calls  So I'll try to remember to take a camera.

BTW, anybody know how to get a headrest off an 01 Sunfire ?

Not 100% sure on that particular car.

On most vehicles, you pull the headrest up to adjust it, then when you need to lower it, there's a release button where it goes into the seat.

That release button is sometimes used when you want to pull it all the way out.

Maybe someone will chime in here that knows more about your particular car than I do.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Not sure on the sunfire, but some also have a hole in the plastic base around each shaft. Use a small pick to depress the lock on each one while lifting.
