Thanks Casey. I'm really proud to see you, at 15 years old, interested in old Fords. Most of your "peers" nowdays seem to like the ricers!! I think I have the same bedless photo you do!!Caseys71 wrote:, I really like what you did with the grille there. It looks great, and seems to serve it's function pretty well with hiding the core-support and radiator. I also like the way the new tonneau cover looks. It's got a really clean look to it with the way it leaves part of the bed rail exposed and sits just about flush to it. Excellent looking truck you've got there.

Normally I don't like the use of expanded metal on the front of cars/trucks, but you pulled it off very nicely. It Adds to the look instesd of looking added on. great job. It's also nice to see you statrted with the big chrome and restored it and kept the chrome. On my Ranger I had the big crome strips and woodgrain tailgate but didn't have enough of it in good enough shape to keep it so I stripped it all off. You got a real Nice truck.

Thanks Racer and Ryan. I'm please with the way it turned out and was hoping to keep it as stock looking as I can but just really don't like the stock grills on these 72's. Now I just want to get those wheels/tires off there and that's gonna happen at the end of this week.Racer Z wrote:Nice grill. Nice workmanship and good lines. Some might even thinks it's stock.

I like what you added to the stock 72 grill Phil105. I think that might keep it from sagging or showing signs of sagging as many '72 grills do. My plastic, stock '72 grill has a slight sag to it, cause plastic will do that over 39 years. I repainted mine last year or so.
PS-Nice paint job and 360 v8. I wish my 360 was that fresh looking.

whats the exact brand name on that is it Tuxedo Pro? looks nice and not as gaudie as the ones i see on the newer trucks. Looks unassuming, as to the grill, does any of the mod to it block air flow?

The tonneau is Truxedo LowPro QT model. Ordered it thru Summit Racing. Very easy to install, but it is a custom order for these year trucks.rjewkes wrote:whats the exact brand name on that is it Tuxedo Pro? looks nice and not as gaudie as the ones i see on the newer trucks. Don't really think any significant amount of air flow is blocked by the grill mod - it is simply a piece of expanded metal which still permits air flow. Haven't noticed any change in temp gauge.

I like that interior.
I'm planning on doing mine in black and white also. It's good to be able to get an idea what it can look like. Thanks for the photos. You've come a long way since the before photo.

Phil, Your truck show all the work that youve put into it. Did you redo the tailgate panel ?
