Well, I've been 6 days with no Skoal. I decided to wait a week or 2 before starting this because I also swore off beer on Jan. 1 and didn't want to overload myself. I also pulled out the bench and sit up board Jan 1 too. I figured I was spending roughly $450 a month on beer and Skoal. I have expensive taste in beer...$9 a sixer 4-5 times a week. It's actually working out better this way because the beer incites the urge to dip and visa versa.

So now I have the same amount of money in my wallet (minus coffee at 7-11)that I started the week with and I'm 11 lbs lighter. Before quitting I would have already been $72 lighter!

That's roughly 25 gallons of bump juice. Thanks again for instigating this :)

19 days without a smoke, that is terrific! There was a time when I couldn't go 19 minutes without a smoke. Thanks for reminding me that we are doing the impossible. I've been smokeless for 17 years now and I am always so amazed when somebody else Kicks Butt. Keep Kicking Butt.

Hours turn into days.
Days turn into months.
Months turn into years.
Eventually not smoking will seem normal and the thought of a cigarette will seem nuts.
That was not how I thought or felt while I smoked or shortly after quiting.
Smoking was the normal and not smoking was like a fish out of water.
