Will keep pics coming. Here is a question for you all. Truck has cutouts for two antenas - on driver and passenger side. Driver side had what looks like a CB antena base. Should I get that hole closed up or leave it and install two antenas? I know its a matter of choice but not sure what to do... Maybe installing a CB radio could be fun? You can see cutout at the bottom of this pic:

I think most trucks that came with antennas had them on the passenger side. My 69 had one on the drivers side but that was the only one I have ever seen like that. I'm not sure what that color red is for the ranger strip on the grill. Glad your truck is rust free and free of severe damage.

thanks Dave!

Picked up the paint for it today and dropped off at the shop (had to drive 70 miles away to get the good stuff). Inside cab and bed will be PPG single stage and the rest will be PPG 2 stage.

bed will get removed again to paint the cab. Got some rattle cans already so will use those. Will paint the headlight buckets satin black but looks like I will remove the paint on all the trim and make it all "bare". The other rattle can is silver to use on any parts I sand/prime and paint like the rusty brackets that are part of the western mirrors. Thanks for the comments! Will take more pics on Monday and post.

Thanks for the positive comments! Helps to have fellow enthusiast interested in the progress! For the tailgate handle I bought reproductions I found after posting the question here. Thanks for the tip on the silver paint but already bought a can of Rustoleum Silver... haven't had the chance to try it though. Need to get busy on the details this week!
