Prayer request please...

Post by basketcase0302 »

Most of ya'll that have been here for awhile know what I've been through in the past few years. It's been real hard, I'd almost lost everything in my life but my truck. It almost finally seemed like the Good Lord was looking down upon me again, as I'd found work a few weeks ago / and I met a very special lady. I actually met her back in November, I've grown pretty fond of her in that time. We are still only friends, (the best friend I've had in many years) as we have both been through the cheating and divorces and have so much in common.

My lady friend Lauralyn was airlifted to a hospital out of the area last night due to "overcrowding" of the hospitals here in the Chattanooga area. Initially thought to be subacronoid (spelling) hemorrhage. That's basically described as an aneurysm which is fatal in most cases. They ruled out the aneurysm today but still can't confirm the cause of the bleeding there.
She is still in ICU and not out of the water just yet.
Lauralyn holds a very special place in my heart and means the world to me...

Thank you guys, it means a lot to me. Part of my prayers have been answered already.
I was told last night that she was moved from the critical care unit, to the special care unit and was resting. She will have to spend 5-7 days there, and more testing. The doctors are still trying to confirm why the bleeding there? I'd do anything to be there in Knoxville with her, (my truck just wouldn't make that two hour drive each way very easily).
I'd please ask for your continued prayers for Lauralyn.

Jeff,

We will keep you and Lauralyn in our prayers.

Now, consider this a one friend talking to the other at the water cooler... GET YOU BUTT OVER THERE if you have to take a bus!

I'm so glad to hear she is doing better...

Thanks so much again guys. Wish I could just leave Robert, I'd hitchike to Knoxville if I could leave here. I just started a new job two weeks ago, and I've got some flu like stuff to boot. I'm not even concerned with my issues to say the least...

I got to speak to Lauralyn for about 10 minutes this morning. She is still in the critical care unit and had a CT scan with a contrast done early this morning, waiting on the results. She has family coming in from all over to be with her. She also told me of a friend of the family that has neurology knowledge (former doctor maybe) that will give a consult.
Took me 50 years to find this lady, and she didn't judge me by the looks of my truck either!
Please keep her in your prayers.
