Fordman,
I echo what edglen and thorn1968 just said. You have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I have purchased a few things form you and have never been surprised or disappointed. You are good guy. Things have a way of working out for the better. Hang in there.

well there are 3-4 options here. and i am going to try all of them if i can. first i think the owner will le tme pick up the parts that i already have removed. but i am going to talk to him about possiblities of selling classic parts. so he will get more money out of them. and or how the mexican is actually smoking pot on the job and doesnt want anyone around to tell on him. there are other yards out there. i just have to find one that will give me good enough deals to stay alive for now. i have also considered dragging truck home again. i will definetly have to figure something out if i do that. i don't know that i can figure any permant deal to make that work. i may also be able to get other parts from hinm to finish the escort. or maybe i can get one of the neighbors to do some body owrk on the rear quarter to smooth it out again. i do know of a shop for sale in town. but i dont have the money to buy it. but if i did i could run my own junkyard. or if i could talk the one guy into selling me bump parts i could do that too. i dont know if he will sell me a rear quarter or if he even has one. his stuff is pretty old. and he doesnt take parts off of it anyway. but that is probably one of the longest shots i would have to take.

Plus i still have lots of parts till to get rid of. until something else comes along. some stuff i have never even told anyone about bucket seat tracks hood scoops reflectors. so forth.

Sounds reasonable to me. You can see light at the end of the tunnel now.

even the owners best friends can not come in and get anything at the present tiem. he knows wht i do . an i am still do not have an exemption yet. i am goignt o talk to him as soon as i can and find out for sure. i have been waitign fo rtime to pass and to see if he got ripped off again this weekend or not. probably not since the weather has been bad. anyway. i have thought of an approach that may atleast be able to get me back in to pick up the items i already have removed and in hiding out there. i dont know if i can get more new items. or i fi will be allowed to get the rest of the stuff from that escort.

i did put a battery in the escort today. all the correclty. a couple of bulbs need replaced. no big deal. i am not sure if the rear window defroster works yet or not. i am holding the old hatch until i know for sure. wipers and horn works. it is out of gas or it may have started up. i am getting excited. i like getting stuff put back together and repaired. this car may have to be a back up car if soemthing goes wrogn with that subaru. its acting funny. maybe a transmission shifting problem. that all wheel drive or 4wd drive is kind of wierd. i tmay end up needing clutch packs in the rear axle gear box before it really gets fixed.

From the posts that I have read you definetly seem to know your ford trucks, from all the parts right down to the bolts! You seem to be able and willing to remove parts. If you need a job, it seems to me you are the right person for the wrecking yard! Looks like he could use some good trust worthy extra help around there. This would also eliminate your problem with parts. And he would not have people in his yard.
before you sell off everything and become a drifter take some of the forum's advice and moral support. Get your confidence level up there and go for it! I know you can do it.
