those are actually alot bigger in person. there is a 6x6 around here. i have seen it once. it is the size of a semi really. unless you have a use for it. it is kind of just a play thing really. and not worth doing anything with. i like them too. but i had to tell myself i didnt need it. even though it is a cool truck. i do like the look of the super singles on the second one though.
I’m thinking it might make an awesome hunting rig for the Alaskan winters. That and I should be able to pull just about any vehicle out of almost any mud pit somebody desides to dive into(for the price of gas there and back of course). But this just might end up as a lost dream as do a lot of projects.

The dueces have the multufuel engines, most of the 5 tons have an 855, get one with the 855 if you can.
you'll need 52-53" tires for freeway speeds, but they handle pretty good. Ear plugs are a requirement, there's no creature comforts and a 1000 mile trip would be rough in one.
They're big, they are the size of a semi, but bobbed they turn pretty tight and aren't too bad to park. Setup right they'll get decent mileage.
From what I understand, those "Six-bys" can be really maintenance intensive. Remember, they're designed to operate and be maintained under a military budget. And yes, they're very rugged, but I hear that they also eat parts and wear things out quickly. If you can afford it, great. But bigger isn't always better...
Also, I'd keep it as a six-by instead of shortening it to a 4x4.
