I have several friends, and family members who served this great country of ours. They all say after the fact that they wish they had stayed in and retired. Time goes by to darn fast. Doesn't seem that way at times, but it does. Before you know it 7 years will have gone by and you will be able to retire. If you do not listen to the ones that did the 20 plus. Listen to the voice of those that wish they had.
Best wishes and prayers for you and yours.

I missed the fact of you having 13 years in. Stay the course if at all possible then. I left with my dd 214 with almost 10 years between active AF and Air Nat. Guard. DO I wish I had stayed in? You better believe. My job kept me out of town so much I was always in trouble at work for missing weekends are at Guard for missing weekends. I should have toughed it out.

Not to get into politics, but with the constant breakdown of things going on over here, it isn't looking good for the home team on getting home anytime soon. All the wives of those of us left over here contacted my chain of command. Our so called Commander lied to them and said that we should still be on the same time-line of getting home. He said the process is still on point and blah, blah, blah. All of it a lie, it just makes you wonder what peoples priorities they are.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
