Really nice work, great job. Is that a new repop instrument cluster? Going to replace the wood grain to match the 69 style?

Thanks for the compliments! I knew you truck guys would appreciate the project. Yeah, got the instument cluster from Dennis Carpenter and the "wood grain" doesn't match. Had the door panels redone to match the bench seat so the old "wood grain" on the old door panels are gone. The new instument has a "walnut grain" - if I could find some more I could glue it over the old stuff so it all matches. OR - if I could find new stuff like the original I would go that direction...

Next up - bought a power steering upgrade kit from "Dan" off of Ebay (should get here in a few days). Also should get new tires since the ones on there are like 16 years old and cracking between the threads. Never ends!

Yeah I Wish they would come out with an old style wood grain pattern for the 69o Ranger bezel. Try googling wood grain contact paper, I found some stuff pretty close.

They also replaced king pins and tie rods - need to go back as they didn't get the alignment right.

Thanks Terry!
Will work on mechanical things next so I'll update the thread some more with progress... Still waiting for the Power Steering kit I bought off Ebay to arrive... If I can come up with any more "play money" I would like to do some motor work (manifold, carb, heads redone and maybe a mild cam).

Thanks! Door panels were custom made by the guy who did the seat. He tried to match them up. He also did the headliner and covered the sun visors. Good work and very reasonable (works from home).
