might be making a big move from oregon to california this summer.... looking at all the little things that are going to be a thorn in my side for this process and havent been able to find any info on this subject...
I have a 2004 Honda CBR1000rr with a few bolt ons. how much trouble is california going to give me? its not a california model... it has over 7500 miles, so thats not a problem.

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Re: OT: registering out of state motorcycle in california?
I don't think there will be an issue with registering a motorcycle. I dont think they are subject to emissions testing, but not sure. Since you already own it, it is just as simple as transfering the title and registration. I do know when you do go to the DMV, make sure they know you just moved (wether you did or not) so you don't pay late fees. I had Oregon tags on my truck when I moved to Cali back in 04 and had over a year left on those tags. So after a year I registered it in Cali. and was honest about how long I lived there. They charged me a years worth the late fees which was about and additional $400 if I remember correctly.
