Got a quick question for all of you. My parents acquired a hot tub a few years for free, and it is a piece of junk and needs to be removed. We are light lightening it by removing the side panels and the insulation. Anyways, we would like to cut the fiberglass tub into smaller sections so it will be easier to move on all of us. What would be the best way to cut the fiberglass?
Thanks

Sawzall and dustmasks for everyone. If its outside hose off everything when finished, If its inside hang plastic up so the dust dont go everywhere and close the vents and lay something over them to keep the fiberglass dust out. Been a plumber for 20 years and cut out a lot of tubs.

Sawzall is how my dad got rid of his "free" hot tube.

Re: Hot Tub Removal
Thanks for the quick replies. That's the approach we were thinking of. Great idea on the dust masks, definitely don't want that in our lungs!

Re: Hot Tub Removal
How about the way your folks got it. An add for a free hot tub in Craigslist. You must remove.
Other than that like said a sawzall is the most handy tool to have around. A 12 pound sledge hammer might help also. It makes short work of a lot of house hold objects
