Re: wat your daily driver?

Oh, I'm sorry, all I saw was "wanna race" and I gave my standard answer of yes. Yes, my daily driver is a little slower, but don't let the size of it fool you. It's a very built Cummins with a sequential turbo setup, a 7100 pump with injectors to match. It's done a 12.12 with it spinning pretty hard for a good portion of the track. You may indeed beat that....but, I don't think that giving me a head start would be a good idea (unless you really want to).

This is what I drive everyday to and from work....luckily my commute is only four miles round trip. If I want to go on a long trip or just want a nice truck to drive I have a low mileage 99 extended cab 3/4 4x4 psd.

Yeah, that's a fact, they move pretty good. Tell you what else impressed me the other day...A new Toyoya tundra. Belive it or not, they are quick. 14 seconds is not too shabby for a truck that was not meant to be a hot rod.

its a lousy pic,but here's my 87 f250 xlt lariat with 6.9 IH diesel and 4spd
Image
been rolling around in it for 3yrs now ,i picked it up for a whopping $600 with new tires all around, new clutch ,new brakes and functional AC
its a US truck with at least 500k mi on it , for 5 yrs it was used to haul loads of custom trailers and utility decks up to Prince George (B.C.) from around here (Nanaimo B.C),so she's done alot of highway time, but she still runs like a champ

i've had to redo the rear brakes because the P.O's mechanic put light duty shoes in it (2" wide rather than 2 1/2")
and i also had to redo the injector lines when one of em decided to retire ,but i got aset of brand new injectors, pump and lines off a buddy of mine for less than half what he paid :)
the pic is just after doing my first ever 2-tone spray bomb paintjob ,turned out better than expected ,definitely better than the original paintjob which had basically fallen off because of clearcoat issues
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood, some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox, behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame, rear end, rear springs, and rear bumper...
