1966 Identification

Post by MtnKzar »

Ford newbie. Recently purchased a 1966 Ford F100 4x4 and was trying to decode the VIN. Any help would be appreciated.

F11YK770016

WB Color Model Body Trans Axle
129 M F110 481 A 08

MaxGVW lbs Cert Net HP RPM DSO
05600 172 4000 547069

On the VIN I belive
F11 = 1961-1966 4 Wheel Drive (f-100)
Y = 1966 352 (CID) 2V (Carb) [does this mean 2 barrell?] 208 (HP) 4400 (RPM)
K = Exterior Color (?)
770016 = Oct 1965 (?)

Next
WB - Wheel base is 129 inches
Color = M = Wimbledon White
Model F110
Body 481: 4 = Medium Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Wicker Pattern Vinyl // 81 = 81A Standard Cab or Custom Cab (Has the Custom Cab moniker on the door)
TRANS code A / Ford Type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission
Axle 08 (?)
Max GVW = 5600 lbs self explanatory
Net HP = 172 at 4000 RPMs
DSO= 547069 (?)
