KaptnKAOS's truck...

Post by TheeMc »

For any one who remembers Allan or KaptnKAOS, his roomate that inherited his truck has it running and ready for sale. It is a very nice 68 F-250 C/S, and comes whith several parts, like all the parts to upgrade to the disc brakes. If anyone is interested check back in the archives and he has posted several pics of his resto and work he has done to it, and I'm sure the guy that has it would let it go very reasonable specially to someone from here, as he knows how much this website and the friends Allan made here meant to him. Anyone interested I will fwd the contact info if you PM me
Thanks!

Mike

Why do we drive on a parkway, and park on a driveway?

Mike,

Good to hear from you again man. Where was Allan's truck at again, Seattle?
And what became of "Oldskool" his Ford camper/bus he was working on?

Trust me, I wanted to (and still do). I just didn't have the resources to spare (and still don't).

FWIW, I've been in both, the F250 AND the bus, and can say that Allan put a lot of himself into both of them. It was both a pleasure and an honor to sit and talk with him about them, the fact he had temporarily turned the bus into a small shop (while he was working on the F250), all the plans he had for both, the bike riding in the past, and of course his time spent at the Renaissance Fair each year.

He is truly missed here, and for those of you who never had the chance to meet him in person, I can tell you with no hesitation that the world is undoubtably a lesser place without him here. We hadn't really had a lot of time to get to know eachother (off the board that is) but I can say without a doubt he was one of those friends you just don't forget about or let go of. The man did not have an unkind bone in his body, and seemed to find humor and happiness in every seemingly small thing he did.

It would be a shame if they didn't go to a good home, to be finished (or not; we all know just how "done" a project gets, 95% of the time  ) and kept road worthy.

If I had the space and the funds I would snap them up in a heartbeat. I hope someone here can make it happen.
