bought another truck

Post by Jarred Hodges »

Yesterday I went to the junkyard as part of the daily routine. Anyway I see a 4x4 ford parked by the side of the building. We are friends with the owner and he notices me looking at it. He says but your truck battery on it and it will run. I do and it seems to run good so I drive it around the building. I ask how much he wants for it. He gets the ticket and said he paid around $530 for it and will take $600 for it. I think for a little bit and decided to buy it. Its a 77 f-250 with either a 351m or 400 engine 4spd transmission and am not sure on the transfer case or axles. I plan to use it as a woods truck and have some fun. If I can find a better body I will swap it onto my chassis and probaly put it back on the street. If anyone is wondering on all the body damage it was in the path of the tornado that cme through. here is some pics, hope they don't break your moniter lol

It's BFT (Built Ford Tough) at it's finest. If that truck could only talk...

Great deal and Thanks for sharing!

Sounds and looks like you made a good buy.

Nice buy. Me, I'd pull a windshield in it, replace the grill and run it for a trash hauler. Body is bent but it looks pretty solid.

I thought about that but don't want to pay another $40 a month to the insurance company lol. The body is halfway solid except the passenger floorboard is about a 2x2 foot piece of valley tin pot rivveted in lol
