Who on here, if any, from Australia lives in Adelaide? I am down here on business and thought I would do a shout out and say hi. Got in yesterday and so far I like it but haven't done anything except walk around the area I am in, Mawson Lakes.

Re: Calling all Aussie's
Sorry to hear that Aussie_1970 I would of like to had a beer and talk trucks and even checked out your truck if possible but oh well.
I saw a really cool vehicle yesterday when I first got here. It looked kinda of like a late 70's early 80's Chevy el camino or Ford ranchero (probably a Holden, but what do I know
) but this was a four door with dual rear axles, are these common here or is it more likely a home built? Pretty cool looking, wouldn't mind having one in the US.

Re: Calling all Aussie's
might need to whip the phone camera out next time...lets see, late 70's 4 door ute
there were these holden 1` tonners... I think with dual rear wheels they would be special orders..they came in style side too:

Re: Calling all Aussie's
Thanks guys, I will be in Adelaide until the 25th of this month. Observations so far, cool place, liked the four door Holden Ute with the tandem axle and wished I had the camera handy but... It was kind of a crew cab El Camino, very cool.
Also you guys drive on the wrong side of the road here
You also have EXPENSIVE habits when it comes to drink, $77.00 for a 1.75 liter of Jim Beam
Same thing in the States is about $20.00. I don't need to drink so much anyways. Food is expensive here also, a bit suprised about that.
Does anyone have suggestions of what to see here in Adelaide while here?
Thanks again.
