phonebooth question

Post by f100fordtruck »

I was wondering what the cable stuff is called that they use for the pay phones. the cable that runs from the box to the phone.
Image that.
I'll get it one piece at a time and it wont cost me a dime...

Yea, i want a somewhat clean look since its gonna be in my bump. Gonna mount the CB where the radio was and cover the ash tray up and have a mic plugin right there.

Google "Stainless Steel Flexible Conduit" or "Stainless Steel Flexible hose"

Also "Aluminum Flexible Conduit"

the conduit (SS or Alum) doesn't bend well past 90deg, but the price isn't bad. never really had my hands on the SS hose

romex is a brand name of electrical wiring for your house. its printed on the outside of the plastic sheathing. flexible conduit is different than the phone booth cable sheathing. that picture of the mic cable is flexible conduit. http://www.southwire.com/romex.htm
