Re: GHOST
Always make sure that your kids close your hood properly..
This is what happen when I asked my 13 year-old to check the engine oil, and then we left for the store..

Re: GHOST
I had something similiar happen to me but my hood just got stuck on the cowl. it never came all the way up to the drip rail. Did your hood hinges break or anything? Its just a good thing you kept your cool and nothing bad happened.GHOST wrote:[ Image ]

Re: GHOST
The hood hinges did break . It also made a small dent on the cab and on the hood where the hinges go , but it did not break the windshield, and I did not crash into anything, thank god...

Re: GHOST
well ghost then your ahead of the game. When my hood came open on me I ended up in the wrong lane of traffic and fighting my truck to get to safety. Its a whole different feeling when these big steel hoods come open on you.

Re: GHOST
Sorry to laugh at this post, but I had the same thing happen to me. My room mate at the time liked to have $H!T himself. I was running about 55 in the passing lane when the hood bobbled. As soon as I let off the gas she went up, I had my windows up rode the white line and pulled off to the left of the road. My room mate was impressed that I remained calm. Didn't do as much damage to mine. I have one jacked up hood hinge and a little dent in the hood. Sorry not trying to steel your thread but it is common with these old trucks!
