I think one of the better ways to look at it is to consider that if for instance your computer was in the living room, how would you feel about having to explain what was on the screen to your son, daughter, or significant other.

Also, remember that there are some ladies here...

It wasn't my intent to call any specific post out...just :help: try to keep it tasteful...

She is called Sweety, babe, you dadgum truck, you pretty thing and just about anything else but I have loved her for about 35 years now. Dad tried to sell her and I came out of elementary school about 4 days in a row and tore the signs off of her. She was mine since he bought her new. How could he even imagine trying to sell her?
She is a female. No two ways about it. Treat her right and she treats me right. Never, ever left me on the road walking except the one time when I was 16 and let her run out of gas. Never happened again. I put a Duraspark in her and wired it up wrong and it burnt up the resister wire. I was only 100 feet from home and she rolled downhill to my driveway.
Put a 460 in her and tried to clean too much gunk off the top of the heads. Gunk got in the pick up screen and clogged the oil filter. Had my wife with me on the side of the interstate. I started her up and drove her on the shoulder to the next exit clattering lifters and all. Got there.
Treat them right they'll treat you right.

Good morning!

Considering the rate at which new members have been joining, I figure there are more folks that we haven't heard from on this oddball subject!

I've really enjoyed all of the excellent responses so far!

How about "Male in touch with it's femine side?" I mean it does "wear" a lot of fancy stuff. And it probably would shreik if I were to get in wearing old greasy coveralls.

My little flatbed shorty F100 told me his name as I pulled into my driveway for the first time after swapping a 300SDL Benz for him straight across.

He is "Enos".

He'll really look the part when I get a set of West Coast mirrors on him, and some F350 cab lights. Then, maybe a Crown Vic front and a spring-pad flip and C notch. He's got to keep functioning as a truck, of course, so keep the straight axle and the truck leaf springs. ;-)

Wow, I'm actually a bit surprised by the poll results so far. Try as I have, I've never been able to make a connection between the cars I love and "male/female." Being in the car scene for years, many fellow car owners would refer to their car as "she" or "he" but I never really understood why. I might eventually have a pet name given to my truck by my wife or myself, but either way.....it's just a loved truck. 8)
