Yeah, the body and frame seem to be solid. There is one tricky spot to repair, top left rear corner, where a camper kissed the Bump and left a crumpy crunch right on the curve. The only rust I've found so far is 2 tiny surface spots where the paint is less than thin. Overall, the paint is pretty dull.Ranger72 wrote:I love that hood ornament. That body is in great shape.
How is the rust situation?
Absolutely as soon as I can get Lady Ga Ga to stand in its' place and lead the way...mrsnicks wrote:Please take that duck off the hood as soon as you are physically next to it.

I still have not turned the key. Bought a new battery. but I left it on the porch. The plan is to check out the mechanicals after the holiday... we'll see what we have to work with....jzjames wrote:NO WAY! LEAVE THE DUCK!
Your truck looks great, I like everything about it. What up with the engine?
You know, I kinda thought the same thing. But there is something nagging at the back of my mind. This truck has a fifth wheel in the bed and and, supposedly, never saw snow, which I believe, and, was parked in the barn after it's owner got an F350 to better haul his camper. So....why was it really parked? We'll find out next week. Still haven't heard from Lady Ga Ga...Whateverman wrote:nice truck ! the duck and the bumper titties certainly add a little old-man vibe to it,but they also mean that the truck likely hasn't been kicked on too hard ( keep the duck- its just plain funny)
That CB rig is a real bonus. Even before I came across this Bump, I was on the lookout for an old school CB. I just smell something in the air, that we just might need them again so we can talk to each other. That feeling is what attracted me to this Bump. 1969 and before should be resistant to an EMP surprise.1970FordTK wrote:At least keep the CB stuff, nice truck.
