Tenn title says f350rjewkes wrote:If it was search and rescue, perhaps they special ordered from Napco and got an f250 chasis and cab, turned into a 4x4 drw(even if napco only used srw with dual wheels) and somwehre down the line the S&R guys had a wreck ad replaced with fenders from a 350? or even napco could have lied and put the 350 badges on, what does your title say, 250 or 350? or does your state even differentiate the different sizes of trucks?
I wanna say that here in missouri it simply states ford pickup on my title.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

LOL, I had a friend that was at the bar and told this kid he had Ranger with a 360 in it and he told my friend he was full of crap and he mad a bet with him and took him out side and showed him his 70 Ford Ranger XLT. He Won That bet!!rjewkes wrote:That is all that realy matters. That and using it safely. I remember having a discussion years ago with a stepfather, that before '83 no ranger existed not even as trim on a ford truck was his stance. I said bull i have a '72 ranger xlt, he said some one fabbed that up. technically however the ranger in the sense of the 83 and newer tiny truck did not exist before 83. but the trim package did exist until 82 or 83 on the f-series. lesson learned, sometimes your wrong no matter what.

yeah with the old stepfather there was no winning the bet, he'd still swear to his grave that the emblems and trim was fake
.
But any who regardless of what it realy is, your truck is beautiful. found a flatbed locally for $250. might have to buy it and then get an F250 or bigger to put it on.
My hope is to one day own a ranch or farm with alot of old iron Especialy Fords on it. pay people to drive them atyleast once a week to keep the seals good.

Re: 76 Ford F 350 4x4
i have a 79 f350 with a mamrmon herrington conversion (i was board last night trying to do a search for how many were built and stumbled into here). there is very little to no info on these trucks whatso ever.... allright time for the pics-

i dropped this 466 in about 2 weeks ago-

shoved a set of 38s and new yorker bumper on the front for a little bit of a diffrent look-

it now has a 460 bored 30 over (466) has a C6 (ive torn 2 up since the motor swap.... dont ask) a NP205 divorced T-case, Dana 70 front and rear axles with 4.10 gears (front axle center section is a passenger side)

Did NAPCO build wreckers as well? Both of the trucks had Holmes 440 wrecker beds on them.
i'd sa y holmes or a holmes dealer got the napco 4x4 convert, then bolted/possably welded on the holmes 440.
I look at adds for wreckers where a company will buy any vehicle rated for your desired wieght/class and then sell you the wrecker/rollback/carrier bed you desire.
