Met a member in real life today.

Post by 91Bear »

I spotted a nice two-tone 1967 LWB just as I left work and followed it around the block. I stopped and tried to spread the gospel of Fordification but it turns out I was preaching to the choir. It was our very own Dolinick!

Nice to meet you!

That is classic!!! It must have been strange to realize that the guy you were talking to was Dan on FORDification.

Yes, I noticed the someone following me. I stopped to close my windows just in case we got another rain shower. When he asked if it was a '67 I said "how did you know it was a '67?" He said it was the grille and hood emblems. Yep, he definitely knew his bumps. When he asked about FORDification and I told him I was a member I guessed he might be 91bear and he was! :)

I remember when I was about to buy my '74 Chevy Nova. I studied Nova's so much I became like almost an expert. I know a 1974 has a bowtie on the grille and a 1973 doesn't for example. I believe that's the only distinction between the two years from a glance. It's cool to know these things. (73 and 74 Nova's are a two year only body style. '72 and older and 75 and newer have different sheet metal.)

anyways, I like the beds without side marker lights and reflectors better. The hood side emblems do not have a reflector either on the '67. I like '68 or '69 non ranger steel painted grilles the best I think but '67 is the only one without the larger middle horizontal bar ranger or not.

My wife suggested a FORDification wives meet and greet. Has anyone ever thought of that? Maybe if we do organize a meet&greet we should just strive to bring the whole family. :)

And thus began one of the greatest Bromances in San Antonio history. :P

That's cool. I've introduced a couple people where I live to Fordification but haven't had a chance run-in with another member.

That's too cool! We haven't seen this "bumped" back to the top for awhile now. These are real nice to have in the truck when you see another bump:
