Could be one of three things as it relates to this site...

That thing you run over on a bad road that causes you to spill hot coffee all over your lap because your old Ford doesn't have a cup holder...

What you do to a thread you start here when the entire membership ignores it the first time you posted it and you want to bring it back to page One.

Term used to describe the "v" shaped "outie" crease that runs along the body of your '67-'72 Ford truck, from the headlight bezel all the way back to the tail lights...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

My hood hinges are fine, but that latch doesn't go all that high up.

Our trucks have a raised area running from front to back on each side where the trim was applied. I guess to make it easier to position the trim? :? Therefore they are referred to as 'bumpsides.' The next generation, the 73-79 models, have a depressed area along the side where the trim was positioned. They are referred to as 'dentsides.' There is a site for those here: http://www.fordification.net/

Dont feel bad. We all had to learn the meaning of bump!! bumps are our trucks! Like they explained its cause of the v on the side of the truck thus nickname "bumpside". And flyboy dont think the reason for the bump was to position trim. the reason for trim was to restyle the bump. cause lots dont have the trim. Not trying to be smart so please dont let me make anyone think i think im a know it all. just think its one of fords styling statements!!
