Makes you wonder which was longer the knife or the subject. Just sayin'

Must be a slow news day here in PA. We have an orange bandit on the loose. There's something wrong with filet-o-fish and orange juice.

JACKSON CENTER, Pa. (AP) - State police are trying to find the person who smashed the windshield of a police cruiser - by dropping a large plastic cup full of orange drink from an overpass above Interstate 79 in rural western Pennsylvania.

State police from the Mercer barracks say the trooper wasn't hurt in the incident just after 11 p.m. Monday. It happened in Worth Township, about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh.

The trooper reported seeing two people standing next to car parked on the overpass just before the windshield was smashed. The trooper gave chase but the vehicle on the overpass sped away.

Police say they found a fresh McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich near where the cup hit the car.

Police on Wednesday tell The Associated Press they're still looking for the suspect.

So me and the guys at work are outside at the break tables one day and they start talking about this crazy guy who threw a strap around a 30' high tree on a busy main road, jumped out, cut it down and took off down the highway with it. He tried to make a turn on a side road and the tree got hung up on the curb, snapped the tow strap and left it in the middle of the lane while he hauled a$$ out of there. They got it all on video and then the news teams got wind of it and it just grew from there.

As if that wasn't bad enough, when the strap broke, the end whipped around and hit and killed a cat in some guys yard. We were all laughing about "What an idiot" when my best friend walks up and here's us talking about this idiot. We ask him if he's heard about it and he says....

Yeah, that was my brother John. 3 different news crews went to his mama's house and tried to interview them but she ran 'em off. There's videos of that too. Hilarious! Oh yeah, John is the guy I bought my '71 parts truck from.

He knew the manager of a convenience store. The tree was blocking his view of the road and drivers' view of his store. Basically, you couldn't see the turn in to his store for the tree. The tree was on another store's property. The convenience store guy told him he had the other guy's permission and a permit to cut the tree down. He told John he'd give him $150 to cut it down and haul it off. A friend of John's lived down a road 1 block down from the store. The plan was: Get everything ready, watch for traffic, cut the tree, haul a$$ down the road 100ft, tree in tow, whip into his friend's road and dump the tree. His friend hauled firewood for extra money and was going to pay him $25 or so for tree, all he had to do was get it there. As it turned out, there was no approval by the other store owner, there was no permit, the tree got hung up in the road and snapped the strap, it got caught on video and he and his partners are all in big trouble with the law. Reckless endangerment, illegal towing, cutting a tree without a permit, careless and wreckless and I think even animal cruelty. Alcohol and/or dope MAY have been involved. May?.....yeah, right!

Wow I could say something to that but being a family atmosphere here lets all let our minds ponder that comment  Suck may not be the right choice.

I'm sure the city has regulations concerning sight distance obstructions and should have been properly handled in that manner. Your last sentence probably has the biggest bearing on the job.
