Well sure it's a tough crowd, it's a Ford bumpside website. If that guy joined up and showed off his truck I would positively drool over it, heck I am even now. But it's an entirely different thing to try and sell a truck with a ratty resto and an Earl Scheib paintjob for twice what it's worth.
I see that **** all the time in SoCal. Somebody buys a PoS Mustang, bondos the crap out of it, drops in a junkyard 302, paints it either flat black or some metalflake :bs: to hide the lumps, then sets out to scam someone. Sure, I understand the concept of "buyer beware," but the lies and cons of these people are unconscionable.
If the owner of that stepside told me he did the work himself, I would be mighty proud of him. If he told me he paid $10,000 I would think he got his money's worth. If he told me he paid someone 80 large I would still like his truck, but feel really sorry for him. The fact that this seller is misrepresenting the truck so heinously really chaps my ass. I smell scumbag...
